ONG Solar has signed an energy service agreement under the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) model with the municipal utility Berdychivvodokanal to build a solar power plant with a capacity of up to 200 kW.

How the ESCO Model Works in This Project

The energy service agreement enables the implementation of modern energy-efficient solutions without upfront investment from the municipal enterprise.

ONG Solar will invest in the construction and operation of the solar power plant. The project terms provide for guaranteed savings on the utility’s electricity costs. After the contract expires, the station will become the property of the local community.

Expected Benefits for the Community

  • Reduced electricity costs for a strategic municipal enterprise
  • Increased energy independence and operational resilience of Berdychivvodokanal
  • Lower CO₂ emissions and a contribution to the green transition
  • Cooperation between the community and a private investor

For ONG Solar, this is not the first project in the municipal sector. Learn more about the solar financing model on the ESCO contract for solar page.
