How much does it cost to install a solar power plant?

Accepted Answer

The cost depends on the type of station, system capacity and object characteristics.

Grid-connected solar power plants — from $300/kW (excluding VAT).
Hybrid solar power plants (with battery storage) — from $650/kW (excluding VAT), depending on capacity and energy storage system size.

Question 2

What is the payback period for a solar power plant for business?

Accepted Answer

The payback period depends on consumption profile, current tariff and financing model.

SPP for enterprises (self-consumption) — usually up to 3 years.
With leasing or credit financing, the payback period may increase due to financing costs.
Under the ESCO model, the project can be implemented without capital investment from the customer — payments are made from saved electricity, allowing economic benefits from the first month of system operation.

The exact payback period is determined after analysis of consumption and the object's financial model.

How much can you save on electricity?

Accepted Answer

The level of savings depends on SPP capacity and the enterprise's consumption profile.

On average, businesses can reduce electricity costs by up to 20–25%.

For example, a 100 kW SPP in Ukraine generates about 110,000–120,000 kWh per year. At a tariff of 10 UAH/kWh (excluding VAT), this allows saving approximately 1.1–1.2 million UAH annually (with full self-consumption).

What financing options are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer several financing models:

Purchase (100% payment) — maximum economic efficiency and shortest payback period.
Leasing — down payment from 30%, financing term up to 5 years. Allows implementing the project with less initial budget burden.
ESCO contract — 0% down payment; our company makes the investment, and payment is made from saved electricity. Equipment transfer to the customer's balance — after the contract term (up to 8 years).
Bank lending — financing through partner banks.
Energy-as-a-Service — energy subscription model without capital expenditure.

We select the financial model individually — depending on budget and strategic goals of the enterprise.

Question 5

What are the leasing terms for SPP?

Accepted Answer

Leasing is available for business clients with the following approximate terms:

down payment from 30%
financing term — up to 5 years
preliminary decision — within 2–5 business days (depends on the company's financial condition)

Leasing payments are partially or fully offset by electricity savings. After the leasing term ends, the equipment becomes the property of the enterprise.

Final terms are determined individually after analysis of financial statements and project parameters.

Question 6

Does the SPP work during blackouts?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the system type:

Grid-connected SPP does not work during power outages (safety requirement — the inverter automatically shuts off when the grid disappears).
Hybrid SPP with batteries provides backup power for critical loads during blackouts.

Exact backup capabilities are determined by inverter capacity and battery system size.

What equipment do you use?

We work exclusively with verified Tier-1 manufacturers:

Solar panels: JA Solar, Trina Solar, LONGi, Solar Space, Luxen Solar
Inverters: Huawei, Fronius, SMA, Deye
Battery systems: BYD, Pylontech, Deye, Dyness, Tesla

All equipment is certified for use in Ukraine and has official manufacturer warranty.

Question 8

How much space is needed for an SPP?

Accepted Answer

Area depends on placement type and system configuration.

Rooftop SPPs — approximately 6–8 m² per 1 kW of installed capacity.
Ground-mounted SPPs — approximately 8–12 m² per 1 kW (including row spacing).

For example, for a 100 kW system approximately:

600–800 m² for rooftop installation
800–1,200 m² for ground placement

Exact calculation is performed after analysis of roof type, tilt angle, orientation and possible shading.
