Sungrow PowerTitan 2.0 ESS Energy Storage from ONG Solar

Sungrow PowerTitan 2.0 ESS is a containerised liquid-cooled energy storage system for industrial and grid-scale projects. Selection depends on the required power, charging and discharging schedule, and connection characteristics.

Comparing the 2h and 4h versions

The European ST5015UX-2H and ST5015UX-4H versions have a nominal capacity of 5,015 kWh. Their nominal apparent AC power is 2,520 kVA and 1,260 kVA respectively. These are distinct system versions. The 2h and 4h designations do not establish that every supplied container includes both configurations.

Technical documentation V3 identifies these versions as ST5015kWh-2500kW-2h and ST5015kWh-1250kW-4h. Do not substitute a number in the model name for a different specification: kVA describes apparent power, while kWh describes stored energy. Agree active power in kW, usable energy and delivery duration for the required operating scenario separately. The storage power and capacity guide explains the selection approach.

The factory system and site work

PowerTitan 2.0 integrates batteries, power conversion and liquid cooling. Power conversion equipment and DC cables are pre-installed at the factory. This reduces on-site assembly requirements but does not replace electrical design and system commissioning.

The reviewed version specifies a nominal AC voltage of 690 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. Assess voltage matching, transformer and switching equipment, metering, external controls and protection for the actual site. Do not assume these are included in the container price without a supply schedule. Record factory options and integration responsibilities separately.

Placement requires assessment of the foundation, transport access, installation and service areas, and safety requirements. Integrated detection and response equipment does not replace the design for the whole site. The storage site selection guide outlines the wider assessment.

Controls, backup and warranty terms

The datasheet specifies Ethernet communications. Controllers, accessible data, control algorithms and integration with site systems are determined for the individual configuration. An interface alone does not establish that every monitoring or control function is available.

If the project requires backup, generator integration or participation in electricity markets, verify those operating modes separately alongside external infrastructure and required documentation. A European version does not automatically establish connection approval in Ukraine. Record the warranty period, capacity-retention commitments, service arrangements and claims procedure in the written terms for the particular supply.
